A floating bathing platform on the Lot in France

Since 11th of July is it now possible to enjoy bathing in the Lot thanks to the opening of a new floating swimming pool of 240m² realized with floating cubes.

A new floating and secured bathing pool has been installed in Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot in France. During summer, the bathing area will be open every day and watched by two lifeguards. This project has been leaded by the very dynamic Municipality of Penne d’Agenais.

A floating and modular swimming pool

The floating platform which has been realized with more than 400 double cubes, represents the visible part of the bathing area. It is delimited by hundred railing posts in polyethylene and an outlying net which secures the structure. A zone of 60m² has been added to the pool to enable people enjoying the sun in quietly.

The anchoring has been realized with chains fixed on dead weights in the bottom of the river. Further chains have also been fixed to the concrete wharf. The bottom of the pool which is 240m² and realized with double cubes with low freeboard, is submerge at a depth of 1,20m thanks to tubes made in galvanized steel.
